I apologize for not posting for a while, but I am very excited to announce what I’ve been working on for the past several months.

Since June I have been the Assistant Site Director for CodeChix, a non-profit organization whose goal is to acquire and retain women engineers in their respective fields. This position has involved communicating and organizing speakers and workshops, keeping up relationships with organization partners, etc. At our initial meeting when I got the position, founder and executive director of CodeChix Rupa, briefly mentioned her goal of CodeChix sponsoring its own conference.

Well, over a volunteer lunch weeks later, a group of us decided to make that goal a reality, thus Coder[xx] was born. It has been a whirlwind booking the venue, speakers, organizing workshops, and putting the site together, but it has been an honor working with such a great group of dedicated women.
